After getting back from another week long trip, Branson MO with mom, I have a ton of comments, forums and emails to answer. Stuff I never seem to get all the way caught up on. Not to forget all the crap going on in the rest of the world. Yes there is more than my lil world. Things like…. The break through on the male birth control pill, the end of the first fiscal quarter of ‘08, IU gets a new head b-ball coach, little kids from Waycross Georgia plotting to kill their teacher, McDonalds adds mochas and Lattes to their menu. So what do I do when I get home? Logon to UrbanDead to check on my Zombie and barg harmanz brahnz (Eat Human Brains). Then I sat in front of the TV for a BSG marathon. My life rocks! 10 hours a day of non-stop BSG for 5 days and Zombie fun. Yeah, I’m a geek!

Raiding hospitals and malls for fresh meat to feed on. UrbanDead my other addiction. I’m really getting in to Zombie games. I’ve joined the Undeadites, a horde of zombies set on destroying Malton. Malton is a HUGE fictional city that has been quarantined due to infection.

“In death, the city stirs. Its borders still locked down after a sudden government quarantine two years ago, Malton’s trapped civilians make their way through the derelict buildings, surviving the changing seasons to rebuild their fragmented society from the rubble upwards. Military cleanup squads patrol the empty streets, stationed in the city for the long haul, while embedded scientific groups continue the experiments that brought them here.

And the dead rise up and thrive, trailing through the ruined streets of the city, milling between buildings and clawing through makeshift barricades and diversions, reclaiming the city as their own.”

So I have dedicated most of this week to watching Battlestar Galactica, chatting about Battlestar Galactica, and visualizing the end of Battlestar Galactica.

Battlestar Galactica kicks your ass! Frakin’ right. Psst… Frak is used on the show to replace fuck. If you don’t know the show at all, take your self to SciFi.com and bone up. Other wise we can’t be friends. Ok back to my geekdom.

I watched both of the pre-marathon shows BSG Revealed and BSG Phenomenon. I was surprised to see all of the celebrity fans of BSG. Some I knew were fans like Joel McHale from TheSoup. But Ian Scott of Anthrax? What the frak? He is devoted fan who even pulled some strings to get a private tour of the set. He even got his pic taken in a Viper. Lucky bastard! I wish I was a famous rocker with a huge… goatee.

With everything that’s been going on in the real world, it has been hard to sit and watch to 10 hrs of BSG goodness. Today was really hard. Former President Bill Clinton came to Bloomington to stump for the Hill-Dog. But I just could pull my self away. After all Lee, one sexy bitch, was about to take command of Pegasus. How could anyone skip out on seeing that? I think the Clinton camp planed it that way. They didn’t want us geeks there asking the tough questions. “Will you support a bill protecting the forests of Endor?”

Plus I’ve been think of entering my own Cylon Creation in to SciFi’s contest. I don’t know though. It’s a lot of work and metal fabrication. I’m not sure I have that much time to spend. Nah, I’ll find a way. Plus how cool would that be to have my geekdom aired on the SciFi Channel?

I try getting my mother into BSG. She watched the first season with me and even acted excited when it was about to come on. But she was faking it the whole time. Bitch! But now that it’s ending I’m pushing her to watch all 3 seasons before the Friday premier of the fourth and final season. Yes folks it is almost over. But they have promised it wont end like Dallas or the Sapranos. There will be a conclusion. Either the fleet finds Earth or the Cylons wipe out humanity for good. No matter what, it’s bound to Frakin’ rock! The one thing I would really like to see in this last season… A queer character! I have yet to see any gay or lesbian members of the fleet or colonies. There are tons of us queer-geeks, please give us something.

I’m glad that it’s coming to an end as are most die hard fans. While we are crazy addicted to the show, we don’t want it to drag out. Let it end on a high note with the gratitude of a loyal and faithful following. Just ask GeekMom. She has a list of all the things she would like to see in the last season. I hope she’ll add a queer character to her list.

All the other stuff will have to come latter. Hopefully I’ll get to it all.
